Since April 2006 the rules around how and at what age you draw your pension have become considerably more flexible and many clients have benefited from the ability to clear their mortgage early, buy holiday homes or fund special holidays by accessing their pension funds early without having to retire or reduce the potential for income in retirement.

There is also a greater degree of flexibility around consolidation and transfer of pension funds, purchase of commercial property via a company pension, levels of funding and the ability to choose your own investment funds within a self investment personal pension.
